What are the few things we are prescribed when it comes to worship? I know there are a lot of things we think we are supposed to do, but most of them aren’t actual prescriptions.

Styles aren’t prescribed.

Hymns aren’t prescribed.

Choruses, nope.

Isaac Waats, Chris Tomlin, Martin Luther, no.

Decibel Levels. Who and how many on the stage. Most of what we are wrapped up in, are things that aren’t prescribed.

And the things that are prescribed, also happen to be the things we seem to focus on the least.

Matthew 22:36-40: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

What other prescriptions do we have for worship?
