If you’ve been listening to the podcast, you know that I’ve been talking a lot about this Year End Review that I’ve been working on. I wanted to take some time to let you know where I am in the process and what I’m already learning.

I’ve started asking people the questions. I Started with my Worship Leadership Team. Since I have never done this before, (not at this church and not in this way) I wanted to give it a little test run to hear people’s responses to the idea of a Year End Review. I’m getting ready to do the review with everyone, at our “quarterly” fellowship.

What I have learned already is amazing. I’ve gotten some really great and genuine responses to the questions. One thing that I wasn’t expecting to see was the amount of ownership that a lot of people are taking in the Worship Arts Ministry. I didn’t think I would get any responses that would indicate this, but I certainly have.

One of the things I’m really excited about is the fact that a lot of the dreams that some of the people have expressed for the Worship Arts Minsitry at our church are a lot of the same ideas that I’ve had.

I sincerly hope you’ll consider doing a year end review. (No, I’m not making any money for pushing this.) You have to be willing to take a little heat. But, as you’ve heard me say before, that’s the only way any of us are going to grow. As Pastor Troy Grambling of Flamingo Road Church says, “it’s only a mistake if you don’t learn from it.” We have to be willing to see the areas we need to improve in and the areas we’ve made mistakes in over the past year, learn from them and fix them so we don’t repeat them in the future.
