I’ve truly been enjoying just about every single word I’ve read from “The Leadership Challenge” by Kouzes & Posner. Today I came across a great line that I just had to share with you.
“Great leaders, like great companies and countries, create meaning not just money. The values and interests of freedom, self-actualization, learning, community, excellence, uniqueness, service, and social responsibility truly attract people to a common cause.”
Isn’t that great! It’s a great reminder to me that what I’m doing isn’t about trying to drive people towards success for the mere purposes of money. In fact that’s not the desire of most. Most desire to live lives that mean something.
